DEMOTIVATED

Ok, I'm officially demotivated. It was just last June 26th when I officially had no place to go early in the morning. I was laid off from my middle manager job. I have no paycheck coming in. I have a resume which doesn't excite me, and an uncertain direction for my future.

I thought I'd be fine, but I've hit the wall. Sometimes it takes a knock in the head to change your perspective. Are you guys still positive? Were you ever? How have you rebooted your life after a layoff?

Summer's here.

Summer's approaching and there's no better time to relax and think about what's important in life. Work/life balance. Reconnecting with family and friends. A long-overdue vacation. Went on a trip to Ocala to visit Aunt Stella last weekend. She's my new idol. Going to be 82, has a superb attitude about life, looks for the good and doesn't complain, has a chic haircut, doesn't need glasses to read or see, dressed fashionably and a pleasure to be with. Went with Bert and me to Bonefish Grill and ate some spicy Bang Bang Shrimp and shot back a scotch-and-water before dinner. Can't wait to visit her again this summer. What a wonderful lady.
